Terry Kraatz

is a Berlin based cinematographer. After completing a design apprenticeship in 2015 and working at a London advertising agency, she returned to Berlin to focus on film. Since 2020, she has been studying cinematography at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg.

“To me, film has the power to break open conventional narratives and retell them in new ways. Film can create visibility. But film can also work without all of that and still move us. In cinematography, the tension for me lies in always finding an honest visual language while at the same time leaving space for the story.”.
